A modern chalet bungalow located in a beautiful semi-rural location on the edge of the Chiltern Hills.
THE OPPORTUNITY
The Opportunity
The adjacent bungalow was purchased with a large side garden which offered the opportunity for an in-fill development. The project aimed to replicate the existing home, offering a seamless blend with the local style of properties and environment
THE STRATEGY
A sympathetic, low-impact design was produced and received support from the local Parish Council and the neighbouring Whipsnade Zoo.
The scheme proposed a bungalow with spacious living accommodation and an open-plan kitchen to create a comfortable, modern layout.
It also included an additional first-floor bedroom with an en-suite shower room to provide further flexibility within the design.
